Invoicing, collections, payroll, disbursements and Ajo on one verified account — for Nigerian businesses and cooperatives.
Acmebook is a multi-tenant money-operations platform for Nigerian businesses and cooperatives. A business signs up, verifies its registration, connects a bank account, and gets a single place to raise invoices, collect payment by card or transfer, hold the proceeds as a running Balance, and pay people — staff, contractors, suppliers, or the members of a savings circle.
It began as Scribble Green Technology's own payroll and disbursement tool, built around one rule: no payment run moves money until a second person approves it. That internal system has been generalised into a product, and Scribble Green now runs its own payroll on it as the first tenant.
Email confirmation, a guided setup, business verification against CAC records, and bank-account capture — before any money feature unlocks.
Branded invoices with gapless numbering, VAT and installment schedules. Each invoice gets its own public page with a Pay now button.
Customers pay by card or bank transfer through a hosted checkout. Payments reconcile automatically against the invoice, including partial and over-payments.
Collected funds land in the tenant's Balance, net of processing fees, on an append-only ledger that cannot be edited after the fact.
Beneficiaries, projects and payment batches with a built-in pay calculator, proration and recurring runs. Every batch needs a second approver by default.
Move Balance to the business's own bank account, gated by a fresh MFA code, with automatic fee reconciliation and full refunds on failed transfers.
A complete rotating-savings module for cooperatives and thrift groups — scheduling, reminders, payouts and default handling.
Multi-factor auth, step-up verification with lockout on money actions, encrypted bank details, and a plain-language activity feed covering every action.
Ajo — also esusu or adashe — is how a large share of Nigerians save: a group contributes a fixed amount every cycle, and the pot goes to one member at a time. Acmebook runs the whole thing. An organiser sets the amount and frequency and adds members by phone number; members confirm their details and payout bank account by link. It supports rotation mode (each cycle's pot goes to the next member in turn) and target-date mode (contributions build toward a date, then the pool is paid out and split). The platform opens each round on schedule, sends Pay now links, chases unpaid members at three days, one day and on the due date, retries failed charges, and flags defaults — all on the same verified rails and ledger as the rest of the product.
A customer or member pays an invoice or contribution by card or transfer. The payment provider confirms it by webhook; the amount posts to the tenant's Balance, net of fees.
Balance is the tenant's own money, tracked on an append-only ledger. Every credit and debit is a line item with a source and a reference.
A disbursement batch, an Ajo payout, or a withdrawal — each needs a second approver or a fresh MFA code, then goes out as a bank transfer.
Settlement is driven by the provider's webhook, not the click that started it, and the ledger only ever appends — so a replayed or duplicated event can't double-count.
Getting paid and paying out share a balance, a ledger, and an audit trail — not two disconnected tools.
The savings module has its own scheduling, reminders, default handling and payout logic, built for members who transact by phone and bank transfer.
Second-approver disbursement and step-up MFA are how the internal tool always worked; the product inherited them rather than adding them later.
Amounts are whole kobo, the ledger is append-only, and provider webhooks are the source of truth for every transaction.
Scribble Green runs its own payroll on Acmebook, so the product is shaped by using it, not only by selling it.
Businesses, agencies and studios invoicing clients and running payroll from what they've collected; project-based firms paying against milestones; and cooperatives and Ajo circles that want automated collection, transparent pools, and direct-to-bank payouts instead of cash.
